OUR PASTOR
Darren Rood
PASTOR
Ministry Focus: As the Lead Pastor, Darren shepherds our church in the spirit of Acts 20:28. He is passionately committed to expository preaching and leading our church into Christ-centered, spiritual health. He believes the Word of God changes lives so there is a strong commitment to having a Biblical Worldview in our pulpit, our life’s practice and our church polity. As a cancer survivor, Pastor Darren knows how to communicate the Word of God to practical guidance in everyday life.
Came To Bellview: 2022.
Education: B.A., Bible & Pastoral Theology | M.A., Ministries | D.Min., Expositional Preaching.
Family: Darren and his wife Isabel have been married for 18 years. Though both of them were born and raised in Florida, they met at Bible College in Knoxville, TN. They have 2 children: Bryan and Alyssa… and their Jack Russell!
Enjoyments: Darren enjoys turkey hunting and Clemson Tigers Football as well as spending time with the family.
Life Verse: Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Cheryl Parris
Music & Worship
I graduated from Carson-Newman College with a Bachelor's Degree in Church Music. I have been serving in Music and Worship at Bellview since 2003 and have loved every step of seeing our music ministry grow. I love singing, decorating, shopping, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Jeff Shiflet
Youth Minister
I was saved at 9 years of age. The Lord called me to ministry when I was in college. I have dedicated my life to investing it in young people for the glory of God. I have served as youth pastor at Bellview since 2003.
